Kirkcaldy Civic Society was founded in 1974.
Our Honorary President is Sir Michael Nairn Bt., DL, MBA
The society is a voluntary organisation and is a registered charity.

KIRKCALDY CIVIC SOCIETY
KCS became affiliated to the Scottish Civic Trust in 1976.
The society took up Bronze membership of Kirkcaldy Town Centre Management, now Kirkcaldy Rennaissance.
We hold a subscription to the Scottish Local History Forum
We receive a great deal of help from the Adam Smith College

We have used lottery money over the years to purchase...
a laptop & data projector for our talks, portable speakers for our walkabouts, a slide scanner for archiving slides and negatives
and a printer to produce our programmes and newsletters etc.
We celebrated the 30th year of KCS at the Victoria Hotel, Kirkcaldy on the 25th March 2004.

The society has gifted the town of Kirkcaldy with a tree and two benches over the years.
