ANNIVERSARY

KIRKCALDY CIVIC SOCIETY

On the right is an animation showing five of the many tiny 'plaques'

(true size 3.5cm diameter !) adorning the KCS Anniversary cake.

We held our 30th Anniversary dinner at the Victoria Hotel on the 25th March 2004.

The supper was held at the Victoria Hotel on the 25th March 2004.

Over 50 KCS members joined in the celebrations.

Mrs Helen Galloway had created a special cake depicting the KCS logo and the many historic plaques the society has unveiled around the town.

Our picture shows Mrs Helen Galloway presenting the cake to Mrs Ann Watters (Chair) & Mr David Galloway (Vice-chair)

On the same night a tapestry, commissioned by Mrs Charlotte Westcott, was presented to Mrs Ann Watters. Mr Sandy Elder had designed and stitched the beautiful tapestry which links the 30th Anniversary of KCS with the 700th Anniversary of the Links Market. A seperate frame contained text telling the story of how the tapestry was made.
