KIRKCALDY CIVIC SOCIETY
Opened by King James II who, in 1460, ordered that the castle be built.
Opened by Sir William Sinclair. The Sinclair family owned the castle at one time.
Opened by Oliver Cromwell. He garrisoned his troops at the castle c1651.
The first event took place in 2001.
It was a huge undertaking for the society but proved very successful.
