Plaque unveiled and replacement oak tree planted:

Thursday 20th June 2002

Michael Nairn, grandson of Sir Michael Nairn (linoleum manufacturer) donated and planted the replacement tree with the same silver spade used by his grandfather on the 29th June 1929.

Unfortunately both the tree and plaque have been subject to vandalism over the years.
