In a joint venture, KCS and Fife Mining Heritage (www.fifeminingheritage.org.uk) unveiled a plaque on Sunday 26th September 2004 to commemorate Seafield Colliery.

Mrs Ann Watters opened the ceremony and Lord Ewing gave a very informative speech about the colliery before unveiling the plaque. Mr Dave Reid told us about the future plans FMH have in promoting the mining heritage of Fife and Mr David Galloway gave the vote of thanks. Despite extremely windy weather, the event was well attended.
