On Sunday 19th June 2005 the civic society held an event at Ravenscraig Castle. This year we had invited 'King James II and his Queen, Mary of Gueldres'
to open the event. |

The 'King' then gave a speech and the event was underway. A piper played as the King and Queen went on a walkabout and chatted to visitors. Most of the rooms of the castle were opened up for the day allowing visitors a rare chance to explore the castle at their leisure.
